Faithfully: Catholic Women in the 21st Century

Megan Mastroianni

Where do we are young women fit into today’s Catholic church? What does our faith require of us? We are living in a culture that encourages a constant need to be connected to one another through social media. We have a longing for community and a longing to be connected to “something” or more appropriately to “someone.” It’s so easy for us to carve time out of our days for hours on our phones or laptops… looking for something to satisfy our wasted time. God is the satisfaction of all our desires. And as his disciples, we must discipline ourselves to carve out time for Him every single day. With Him at the very heart and center of our day, He strengthens our faith and fills us with Himself (the ultimate Gift!) God has a deeper desire for us to live our faith than we do. He’s on our side and wants us to “succeed” in our spiritual journey.

Finding Your Joy

Vinita Hampton Wright

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness, come before His presence with singing” (Ps 100:1-2). All is lost, all tragic, or so it seems in today's world of sensationalized news. Ms. Wright will discuss how to find joy when there seems to be none in our daily lives, joy in creation, experiences, work, relationships, joy in being human. How do you write your poem (psalm) of joy? Can you say you truly rejoice in a days blessings?
